As "The Fate of the Furious" movie -- the eighth sequel in the Fast and Furious series -- makes its way silver screens everywhere tomorrow, we learn that Golden Globe nominated actor Kurt Russell, AKA Mr. Nobody, dons a Niall GMT "Noir" watch in the movie.
The new chapter in the series brings back many of the franchise's favorites and stars, in addition to Kurt Russell, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and others. Also referred to as Fast 8, the movie is expected to gross $400 million this weekend alone.
What is particularly interesting here is the fact that the GMT watch, retailing for $3,950, stems from a USA-based, relatively young watch brand. Founded just about five years ago in Kansas City, MO, Niall makes everything except the movements for its watches in America. In fact, last year, The Good Trade association named Niall as the top watchmaker in America. Founded by Michael Wilson in an effort to re-establish American watchmaking, Niall's collections include Carbon Fiber One watches (made of carbon fiber), and the recently released Limited Edition Fieldhouse Blue, officially licensed by the University of Kansas, and inspired by basketball.
